Nassau County Police Selection
This study generated a lot of commentary in the months following the publication of Linda Gottfredson's critique in the Wall Street Journal in October 1996 (presented below). The issues involved are important to our field, far beyond the narrow area of police selection. The documents presented here have been contributed to the professional community to shed light on the issues involved. The goal is to provide a range of comments from all points of view, not to present an official IPMAAC position on the study or related issues.
