IPMAAC Sponsors Sessions at Regional Conferences
In an effort to promote the value of quality assessment programs, reach a broader audience of human resources professionals, and develop stronger relationships with IPMA regions, IPMAAC sponsored sessions at two recent IPMA regional conferences. In May, IPMAAC Board member Mike Willihnganz from the CA State Personnel Board presented a one-day workshop on examination development at the Western Region Conference in Los Angeles. The Workshop was filled to capacity and was extremely well received by both participants and conference organizers. In June, IPMAAC Board member Ilene Gast from the Immigration and Naturalization Service presented a concurrent session on the topic of competency-based promotional assessment including return for investment studies at the Eastern Region Conference in West Virginia. This session was also well attended and generated much interest among the participants. Feedback from participation at both conferences overwhelmingly supported the value of this type of interaction. As a result, the Board of Directors approved continued funding support for these activities next year. Many thanks to Mike and Ilene for their contribution to this valuable outreach effort.
