MAPAC

The Mid-Atlantic Personnel Assessment Consortium (MAPAC) will conduct a workshop on test item writing in Philadelphia, July 16th through the 18th. WRIPAC

Metropolitan New York Association for Applied Psychology

The Metropolitan New York Association for Applied Psychology will present Richard J. Campbell, from the Center for Creative Leadership and New York University, at its June 13th meeting. PTC/Arizona

PTC/Northern California

Personnel Testing Council of Northern California presented a workshop in May by Dr. T.R. Lin and Michael Dolen entitled "Cut Score Setting Strategies and Judgmental Bias." On June 14, Eric Vincent Mitchell will address "The Coming Trends: How Changes in the Business are Influencing the Testing Program at Pacific Bell." Upcoming meetings and workshops will address score banding, the g-factor in employee performance, and a debate on the California Civil Rights Initiative. PTC/Southern California

Personnel Testing Council of Southern California is in the process of planning its fall conference which be held in Newport Beach, California on October 10th and 11th. PTC/Metropolitan Washington

Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington will be holding a series of workshops in June at the Washington Vista Hotel. On June 11th, Dr. John Campbell and Dr. Rod McCloy will lead a workshop entitled "Skills-related Human Resource Management Issues: Formulating a Research Agenda." Also on June 11th, Dr. Phil Bobko will conduct the workshop "Analyzing Correlational Data." Two workshops will also be presented on June 12th. Dr. Teresa Russell and Dr. Scott Oppler will conduct a workshop entitled "Psychometric Considerations in the Evaluation of Subgroup Differences and Differential Prediction," and Dr. Doug Johnson and Dr. Rodger Ballentine will lead the workshop "Teaming for Tomorrow: Implementation of Self-Managed Work Teams in Traditional Organizations." WRIB

The Western Region Item Bank (WRIB) is a cooperative organization of public agencies using a computerized test item bank. Services include draft test questions with complete item history, preparation of "printer ready" exams, and exam scoring and item analysis. Membership includes 166 agencies nation-wide.
