Welcome to the first ACN issue of 1999! This issue has been delayed in getting to you because we wanted to include information on Clyde Lindley's death on February 6th. The last Clyde's Corner and "Quotable Quotes" are in his memory.

On another note, I'm back for another year. Hopefully, the fact that Mike Aamodt (Technical Affairs), Jeff Feuquay (Legal Affairs), Ilene Gast (Practice Exchange), and Déonda Scott (Council News) are also returning will help ensure that the ACN remains an outstanding and useful newsletter for you.

In this issue you will notice that based on a reader recommendation we have reinstated a previous practice that had fallen out of use. David Dye's picture now accompanies his President's Message. In coming issues we will also be adding profiles of some the Board Members and Committee Chairs to give you the opportunity to "get to know" those who are actively helping to guide IPMAAC.

In the back of this issue you will find the list of the 1999 Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. That is where you will find the information you need on who to contact to volunteer and help with any of the committees. I'm sure that all of them would love to hear from you and I know the ACN would welcome your submissions of ideas, suggestions, and articles.

It is also that time of year when nominations are needed for IPMAAC President-Elect and for one seat on the IPMAAC Board of Directors. Nominations needed to be made to Jeff Feuquay by March 12, 1999 so that ballots can be prepared and mailed for the election.

This year's conference is rapidly approaching and everyone is hard at work trying to make sure that it will be excellent in all areas. Conference brochures should be arriving with your mail in early March so it really is time to start making plans.

As always, I look forward to hearing from you in the near future! (And seeing you in June!)
