Conference Update: Program Committee
Déonda Scott
The conference this year will be held in St. Pete Beach, Florida, and will be the first truly casual conference for IPMAAC. But never let it be said that conference content will take a back seat to the spectacular setting! So pack with an eye to comfort for attending all those informative sessions.
The keynote address delivered by current SIOP President Elaine Pulakos of Personnel Decisions Research Institute will set the stage for a conference that's state of the art. Neal Schmitt's many contributions to the assessment field are well-known and we are very pleased to announce that he will be WRIPAC's invited speaker. Distinguished professor and practitioner Wally Borman of the University of South Florida will present as MAPAC's guest speaker. This is one you won't want to miss, so mark your calendar for June 6-10.
If you've been to an IPMAAC Conference, you know that some of the leading practitioners in the field of I/O Psychology will be presenting in areas of interest to assessment professionals. If you've never been to one - this is the year to start an annual tradition. Proposals cover a wide range of topics including:
- Promotablity rating
- Low-fidelity simulations
- Recruitment
- Multi-source Feedback
- Employment Interviews
- Management Development & Assessment
- Adverse Impact
- Video and multimedia-based exams
- Internet applications
- Return on Investment
- Legal issues
The toughest thing will be deciding which one to attend! You should definitely be involved in this conference! We still need session chairpersons and roundtable leaders. If you are interested in serving in either of these areas, please contact Déonda Scott at (407)246-2061 or by e-mail at dscott@ci.orlando.fl.us.
