Annual Conference Taking Shape
Dr. Wayne Cascio, Dr. Frank Landy, Dr. Leaetta Hough, and Dr. Diane Halpern Scheduled to Speak in Chicago
The 1998 IPMAAC conference, scheduled for June 21 - 25, in Chicago is shaping up to be a "not to be missed" event. The keynote address by Dr. Wayne Cascio will set the stage for a conference filled with innovations and examples of quality work in personnel assessment. Dr. Leaetta Hough will share her views on future directions for personality testing. Dr. Diane Halpern, leading expert in the study of critical thinking, will be among the other featured speakers.
Proposals have been submitted on a wide range of topics of interest to those working in personnel selection including, but not limited to:
- video and computer administered testing
- test construction and validation
- leadership assessment
- self-screening for mq's
- adverse impact and affirmative action
- reference checking
- police and fire selection
- scoring issues
- selection research
- legal issues
- management perspectives
The conference will end on a high note with the closing presentation "You Can't Get to Heaven Without Dying" by Dr. Frank Landy.
While much of the conference program is nearing completion, it's not too late to participate! Session chairpersons and round table leaders are still needed.
