Speakers and Proposals:
Greetings, fellow IPMAACers: If the wet and wintry weather is dampening your spirits, then now is the time to be thinking of the June springtime in Washington D.C. and our annual conference.
Robyn and I would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to everyone that has submitted a proposal for the 2000 conference. We are in the process of reviewing proposals and look forward to bringing you more information on the schedule of events in the near future.
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Wayne Camara, will be opening the conference with the Keynote Address "Implications of the Revised Testing Standards on Personnel Testing Practice" on Sunday June 4, 2000. This session will highlight major additions and changes to the Joint Testing Standards that have the most direct implications on the practice of personnel testing and assessment and will also invite audience discussion and questions
Dr Camara is the Executive Director for the Office of Research and Development at The College Board. He is responsible for monitoring, coordinating and conducting all research and development associated with the range of College Board assessments, services, and programs including the SAT, Advance Placement, Computer-placement tests, and policy research. He oversees and directs research and development projects conducted on behalf of the College Board by staff at ETS and externally. He has often represented the College Board with the media on topics of test use, test bias and the use of SAT scores, and in testimony.
