IPMAAC Seeks Nominations for Bemis Memorial Award

Anne Soileau

It is once again time for IPMAAC to begin thinking about a nominee for the Stephen E. Bemis Award. Each year IPMAAC submits the name of an individual for this award, which is jointly sponsored by several of the PTC's; WRIPAC; Psychological Services, Incorporated; and IPMAAC. We are very pleased that our 1997 nominee, Doris Morgan Maye, received the Bemis Memorial Award at our annual conference in June.

Individuals nominated for this award should be current or retired professionals who most nearly emulate the three primary qualities for which Stephen E. Bemis is best remembered.

  1. Accomplished personnel measurement practitioners who are recognized for their ongoing commitment to the principles of merit and fairness;
  2. Professionals who have made an impact in the field by their practical contributions which resulted in new or improved procedures;
  3. Concerned individuals who are recognized for their commitment to assisting fellow practitioners, being available to them, and freely calling on them.
