MAPAC
The Mid-Atlantic Personnel Assessment Consortium (MAPAC) will hold its September meeting on Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th in Alexandria, Virginia. The meeting agenda includes presentations on “Use and Validation of the Municipal Police Selection Test” by Bruce Davey, “Reorganizing for Technology, Necessary First Steps” by Tom Dameron, “Review of the Draft Standards for Education & Psychological Tests” by Wanda Campbell, and “Biodata: Deciding When & How to Use It” by Jay Gandy. WRIPAC
The Western Region Intergovernmental Personnel Assessment Council (WRIPAC) will be conducting an item writing workshop and a workshop designed to prepare those who are called upon to present testimony before civil service commissions, personnel boards, judges and juries. Both workshops will be held on Wednesday, September 18th, in Santa Barbara. The September WRIPAC meeting will also be held in Santa Barbara on the 19th and 20th. Metropolitan New York Association for Applied Psychology

PTC/Arizona
Personnel Testing Council of Arizona held a highly successful workshop on test administration and security issues on May 23rd. PTC/Northern California
Personnel Testing Council of Northern California will present a pro and con discussion of the California Civil Rights Initiative at its August and September meetings. The October meeting will address the topic of score banding. Monthly meetings and workshops rotate between the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. Personnel Testing Council of Southern California will hold its fall conference in Newport Beach, California, on October 10th and 11th. WRIB
The Western Region Item Bank (WRIB) is a cooperative organization of public agencies using a computerized test item bank. Services include draft test questions with complete item history, preparation of “printer ready” exams, and exam scoring and item analysis. Membership includes 166 agencies nation-wide.
