Just a short note to say I hope you enjoy this issue of the ACN and cover a couple of items.

First, if you haven't completed the membership survey that was included with the last issue of the ACN please take a few minutes and do so. Your opinions are important. The deadline for submitting completed surveys is May 1st. You can complete the paper copy and mail it in or complete the survey at IPMAAC On-Line (http://www.impaac.org). Paul has promised to provide us with an article or two discussing the survey results.

Next, as you know the IPMAAC Conference will soon be here. If you haven't received your copy of the conference brochure you can check out the planned program at our internet site or contact IPMA to obtain a copy. In anticipation of the conference we have included in this issue is an "article entitled Conference Presentation Sins for review by those individuals presenting at this year's conference. This list was created on HRNET (a human resources e-mail discussion list) last year after a list member returned from a conference and complained about the quality of some of the presentations that he sat through. With the assistance of other HRNET members this list of sins was put together. It's intent is to give presenters a little advice from the audience's perspective. We are all looking forward to a great conference. It looks like Mike, David and Mabel have done an excellent job to make sure we all have an excellent time, both professionally and socially.

Last, but not least, I'm back beating that same old tired horse. In order for the ACN to have content for you to read we have to have input. Please take some time and provide us with an article or item for publication. If you do not feel comfortable with writing an article on your own -- coerce one of your co-workers into it. . . .

As always, I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
